Fantasia Performance (Chicago July 2008)

Hey everyone, this is your girl Tonyea and I’m back this time telling you about Fantasia’s performance at the 2008 Taste of Chicago. The show was absolutely great. Fantasia, wearing all white, performed her hit singles “Free Yourself”,” Baby Mama,” and “Summertime.” Not wanting the spotlight only on herself, Fantasia began ushering members of the audience to sing and dance with her on stage. Much to our surprise, she also brought out Chicago’s own, American Idol contestant, Jennifer Hudson to sing with her. Who would have thought – two American Idols stars sharing the same stage! Hello world, I’m Ahjah and I’m here to tell you about Fantasia’s performance in Chicago. Fantasia was one of the headliners at the 2008 “The Taste Of Chicago.” It was my first time attending the Taste. We arrived in Chicago around 5:30ish and since most of us were hungry, our first stop was the food vendors. Within 10 minutes of getting our food, we heard Fantasia warming up, so we ran to the center of the stage. Everybody was screaming. She looked so beautiful; she was wearing all white and her hairstyle was fire. She started singing my favorite song, “Baby Mama.” Feeling the energy from the crowd, she continued singing “Free Yourself”, “Hood boy,” and “Summer Time.” She was amazing, just seeing her felt like a dream. I couldn’t believe that she was really there. Fantasia is a wonderful person, and I really look up to her. Her voice is one of a kind. She is a very talented woman and I respect her dearly. Once Fantasia sang most of her songs, the one and only Jennifer Hudson came to perform with her. They did an awesome job; both of them have great voices. Being there with both of them was a chance of a life time. I’m one of many lucky people who got to see them perform. Well that’s all for now Peace and Love. Ahjah
